St. John Preschool wants to be a partner with you in your child's life. Our role as your partner is to provide a safe and stimulating environment, staffed with trained and caring individuals, implementing a program based on current and effective child care and educational practices.

We believe that children come to St. John Preschool with the ability and desire to learn and grow. Each child naturally develops intellectually, socially, physically and emotionally through everyday activities and play.

Our Program
Our program is designed to challenge each area of a child's development; including physical, social, emotional, and cognitive. Children's play is a primary vehicle for and indicator of their growth. Child initiated, teacher supported play is an essential component of a developmentally appropriate classroom. The curriculum incorporated at our center is literacy based and child centered. Each child is given a safe and nurturing environment to grow and learn according to his or her individual ability. |

Our early childhood program is a proud participant of the Quality Matters program. First 5 Contra Costa collaborated with CocoKids and the Contra Costa County Office of Education
to develop this campaign in order to support and promote quality early care and education for children ages 5 and under in Contra Costa County.
